The Android app has been updated! From now on, you can only play the new NEXT version within the app. This brings the following improvements:
- Push notifications no longer run via the default browser, but natively through the app itself. Some players were experiencing recurring technical issues with delivery and app permissions; this has now been simplified. After updating to the new version, you’ll need to re-enable push notifications within the game.
- Shop: In the old app, you could only use the shop if Google Chrome was installed. The new app is completely independent of your browser, so you can now shop whenever you like (e.g. on Samsung mobiles too).
- Login, change password and ‘New Game’ are now integrated directly into the app
- All the improvements from the NEXT version, plus many minor enhancements to the app itself.
Please note: You’ll need to log in again after updating to the new version! If you haven’t yet provided an email address (guest mode), the app update may cause you to lose access to your game and you may need to start again. So it’s best to provide an email address just before updating.
One more note: The old version of Funfair Tycoon is no longer available in the new app. Regardless of this, the NEXT beta is still running in the browser and the web app (which is installed via the browser and not on Google Play).
