I am especially pleased to present a new version of Funfair Tycoon to you today!

Normally, patches are released to introduce improvements to the game. However, so much has changed this time that I decided to release it as a separate version. Funfair Tycoon NEXT is therefore not a new game, but a new version designed to make the existing game even better. Naturally, all your save files will be preserved.

Test version now playable

NEXT was developed to shape the future of Funfair Tycoon. However, the new version also represents a major shift. It is not just the underlying technology that has changed; the entire game interface is new. For this reason, NEXT is currently a test version. You can switch between the old Funfair Tycoon and NEXT at any time, and your save data remains the same. Over the coming weeks, I would like to hear your feedback and improve the version to the point where we can fully replace the old one.

How to participate in the test

Visit the NEXT page in the game and click the button to participate in the test. You can leave the test program at any time from the same page.

🚀 This is new in NEXT

The list is long - very long. You can find the detailed breakdown on the dedicated "NEXT" page within the game. Here are a few highlights:

• Modern design, improved gameplay experience: The game interface has been completely overhauled. The technical foundation of Funfair Tycoon has also undergone a major modernization. As a result, there are no more page reloads, no need for refresh buttons, and far less scrolling. The game feels more polished, runs faster, and looks better. Naturally, we continue to support both light and dark themes.
• The home page becomes a dashboard: The dashboard provides the best overview of all your operations and upcoming tasks. Community features (friends feed and forum) have been given their own dedicated sub-page within the game.
• Shift schedules revamped: Shift schedules are a core feature of the game and have received numerous improvements.
• Market completely overhauled: In the market, you now select your operation first before making purchases. Consumables and spare parts can easily be bought via a shopping cart, which always displays your current stock levels.
• Site plans improved: New features and—finally—touch support for mobile devices; plus, site plans now play a more prominent role in the game.

Android App: Update will follow soon

While NEXT is already playable within the app, the app is getting a completely separate version and is being converted into a native Android app that will function exclusively with the new NEXT design. App players can look forward to the following improvements:

• native push notifications: Some players previously experienced issues reliably receiving push notifications in the app; this will be improved in the new version.
• independence from the installed browser: Previously, issues frequently arose because the FT app behaved differently depending on the user's default browser.

Important: The app update is not yet available; it is currently in a closed testing phase but is scheduled for release soon. New players who have not yet registered an email address are strongly advised to do so. With the upcoming app update, all players will be logged out and will need to log in again. Without login credentials, your game progress will be lost, so please be sure to save an email address in the settings.

Announcement: iOS App

I’ve heard you - ever since the Android app was released, people have been asking when an app for iPhones and iPads will be available.

The good news: Thanks to the new technical foundation of Funfair Tycoon NEXT, an iOS app will be possible. Development is already underway.

In the meantime, iOS players can add our web app to their home screen or continue playing in their browser.

There is no release date for the iOS app yet.

I have been planning this new version for a long time. It incorporates a great many suggestions from the community - and that is how things will continue. Please feel free to share your feedback on the new version. General comments and bug reports are welcome in this thread. For entirely new feature suggestions, please continue to use the feedback forum as before. I am very curious to see how you like Funfair Tycoon NEXT and whether it noticeably improves your day-to-day gameplay, as intended.
